UPDATE: Inland Elevator has completed 26 elevator modernizations since the company was founded in October of 2010. We install industry leading, non-proprietary equipment. This equipment allows more flexibility in regards to service providers and sourcing of replacement parts if required. As owners, we are heavily involved in every aspect of our modernization projects, often working in the field. We offer warranty coverage upon completion and nearly every elevator we have modernized is currently under contract for Service.

- Courtyard Office Building -
This basement traction elevator received the following upgrades: Controller, Drive Motor (AC/VVVF), Door Operator, Rope Gripper, Hall Fixtures, Fire Service Panel, Car PI (Position Indicator), Governor, Governor Rope and Tail Sheave. All wiring was replaced to both new and existing components.
- Culmstock Arms -
As one of our first elevators on service, we were eager to modernize this overhead traction elevator. This is a huge improvement to the equipment especially in regards to stopping accuracy. The elevator retains it's manual gate and swing doors along with the charm that accompanies these classic components. We added brass fixtures, lanterns and COP to match the detail work throughout the property.
Equipment upgrades included: Drive Motor (AC/VVVF), Controller, Rope Gripper, Hall Fixtures, Hall Lanterns, Car Operating Panel (COP), Governor, Governor Rope and Tail Sheave and piping and wiring.
As with every job, we are grateful to the property owner, Black Realty Management and the staff and residents for the opportunity and their patience during the process.
- Westcliff Condominiums -
Equipment upgrades included: Drive Motor (AC/VVVF), Controller, Rope Gripper, Hall Fixtures, Car Operating Panel (COP), and piping and wiring. We were able to retain the existing Machine, Governor and Door Operator.
Due to an aggressive approach, we were able to complete this modernization with only 8 days of down time to the customer! This is the only elevator in the building, so we attacked it with all hands on deck.
This traction modernization at Ace For Space Storage includes a new MCE Controller, Rope Gripper (Safety Brake), Fire Service Panel, and all new wiring. The building owner had the Machine Room finished and insulated to maintain a more constant temperature for the new equipment. The original gear box, coupled with the new controller and encoder provide a very smooth ride.

- City Ramp Parking Garage -
Age, condition, and code compliance required certain safety features to be adapted to this Belt Manlift at City Ramp Parking Garage. This modernization includes a new Gearbox, Bearings, Drive Motor, Safety Brake, Tensioner Pulley and Steps.
This was a great project to be involved with. The owners of this historic building have done an excellent job restoring City Ramp. Our hat goes off to the other contractors we worked with onsite, including PARAS Concrete, Crescent Machine Works, Brown Bearing, B&D Enterprises and Terry from Valley Electric Services.

- Good Samaritan Society -
Sometimes it's what you don't see, that makes all the difference. The picture to the right is the wiring in the Car Operating Panel (COP).
This was a 2 car (duplex) modernization. We replaced the Pump Units (including Motors), Controllers, Hall Fixtures, Cab, Car Doors, Door Operators, COP's and ALL wiring. Shutoff and Rupture valves were also installed in the pit for code compliance and general safety. The smaller of the 2 elevators was modernized first. During this time we were able to complete some of the items associated with the larger, more vital elevator. This reduced overall down time. Each elevator was completed in approximately 2 weeks.
It was a pleasure to work with the staff and residents to complete this project. We appreciate their patience.
- Knickerbocker Apartments -
Traction Modernization on a 4 stop elevator in the historic Knickerbocker Apartments. This elevator was not operational and had been red tagged prior to our initial survey. The existing controller was inoperable. We were able to retain the existing motor, machine and door operator controls to reduce the overall cost to the customer.
New equipment includes Controller, Rope Gripper, Governor/Rope/Tail Sheave, Hall Fixtures, Car Operating Panel (COP) and Wiring.
The owners are completely restoring this historic Spokane building. It is an honor to be involved in such a great project!
